ISLAMABAD (APP): The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, in collaboration with LearnOBots and Institute of Space Technology, successfully held the final competitions and prize distribution ceremony of the “Disruptive Education Innovation Expo 2026” at IMCG F-7/4.
The event marked the successful completion of the flagship initiative titled “Disruptive Education: Transforming Schools into Foundries of Emerging Tech,” which was implemented across 150 schools and colleges under the FDE.
According to organizers, the project engaged over 56,000 students through a digital Learning Management System (LMS), while nearly 2,500 students entered freelancing and digital economy pathways.
Students received training in emerging technologies including Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computational Thinking, STEAM Education, Computer Science, and Entrepreneurship, helping public-sector students develop future-ready skills.
The Expo featured 42 finalist projects focused on STEAM and emerging technologies, selected through a competitive process among participating institutions.
The ceremony was attended by Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Rabia Naseem Farooqi as chief guest. Other notable participants included Syed Junaid Akhlaq, Javed Iqbal Mirza, Syed Najeeb Ahmed, and Shamyl Bin Mansoor.
During the exhibition, dignitaries appreciated the collaboration between FDE and LearnOBots in promoting STEAM and emerging technology education in public-sector institutions. They praised students for showcasing innovative projects in robotics, AI, IoT, digital applications, and scientific innovation.
In the final results, IMCG Koth Hathiyal & IMSG Koth Hathiyal secured first position and won PKR 50,000, while IMCG Humak claimed second place with PKR 30,000. IMSG G-7/3 secured third position and received PKR 20,000.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to expanding access to emerging technology education and strengthening innovation-driven learning opportunities for students across federal educational institutions.
