NOWSEHRA- UNS: A grand get-together of retired Customs officers was held on May 3, 2026, at the Army Officers Mess (Garrison Club) in Nowshera, where a large number of senior and distinguished members gathered in a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.
The event brought together prominent retired officers including Furqan Mehmood, Amanullah Khan, Azim Khan, Javed Qureshi, Ishaq Merwat, Shahid Azam, Haji Zahoor, Pir Muhammad, Muhammad Khadim Shah, Javed Khan Mohmand, Atta Muhammad, Subuctageen Khan, Mushtaq Hussain, Malik Aqleem Khan, Arif Durrani, Al-Haj Gul, Zahid Khan, Masood Shah, Rooh-ul-Ameen, Rehmat Ali, Jalil Jan Peshawari, Sher Ahmed Khan, A.U. Dhanak, Muhammad Aslam Khattak, Musa Khan, Mujahiduddin, Saddiq Akbar, Abdul Qadar Khan, Saif-ur-Rehman, Ayaz Turoo, Kiramatullah Khan, Naseer Khan Afridi, and Jangi Khan, among others.
All guests were warmly received by the management committee led by Amanullah Khan and Pir Naeem Bukhari, along with Abdul Waheed Khan, Ashraf Ali, and Mukhtarullah.
The participants enthusiastically reconnected, sharing cherished memories from their service years, creating a vibrant and friendly environment.
Special recognition was given to newly retired officers, including Mujahiduddin, Saddiq Akbar, and Sher Ahmed Khan, who were warmly welcomed by the gathering. The participation of members from Islamabad, Abbottabad, Haripur, Kohat, Karak, and Bannu—including Jangi Khan, Haji Zahoor, Furqan Mehmood, Qaiser Khan, and Javed Akhtar Qureshi—was highly appreciated.
The gathering also missed the presence of respected colleagues Pervez Khan Mashwani and Zargham Dil, who were abroad in the United Kingdom. Several other colleagues, including Qazi Taskeenuddin, Z.K. Bangash, Habibur Rehman, Main Salim, Ajmal Khan, and Hidayatullah Khan, were also remembered in their absence.
Following Zuhr prayer, lunch was served, after which a session was held where Aziz-ur-Rehman Khan highlighted the importance of such gatherings in promoting unity, coordination, and mutual support among retired officers. Prayers (Fateha) were offered for departed colleagues, along with best wishes for the health and well-being of all members.
The arrangements, particularly by Arif Durrani, Mukhtarullah, and Abdul Waheed Khan, were widely appreciated by the participants. The event concluded with a collective prayer led by Kiramatullah Khan, seeking continued strength, unity, and welfare for the entire community.
