Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Friday said the government is working closely with traders, investors, and industrialists to promote trade, investment, and economic growth across the country.

He expressed these views while inaugurating the 33rd branch of Imtiaz Group in Sector E-11, Golra Sharif, Islamabad. The ceremony was attended by prominent political and business figures, including Mehtab Abbasi, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Zamurd Khan, and former Senator Tanveer Ahmed Khan.

Addressing the gathering, Gilani praised Chairman Imtiaz Group Imtiaz Hussain and his management team for promoting a modern retail system in Pakistan.

He said institutions like Imtiaz Group strengthen the national economy while providing quality products to consumers at affordable prices.

The Senate chairman said the establishment of the world-class superstore in Islamabad demonstrates the ability of Pakistani businesses to compete internationally. He noted that Imtiaz Group operates 33 branches in 14 cities and provides employment opportunities to thousands of people, contributing positively to the country’s economy and commercial growth.

Speaking to media representatives, Gilani said the government remains in constant contact with traders, industrialists, investors, and chambers of commerce to resolve issues faced by the business community. He added that concerns of traders and investors are also being discussed in parliamentary committees to ensure practical solutions.

Referring to the international situation, Gilani said Pakistan’s political and military leadership is playing a constructive role in promoting peace and stability at the national, regional, and global levels. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to economic development, Gilani said the public and private sectors must work together to create employment opportunities, provide relief to citizens, and improve economic conditions.

He added that institutions promoting transparency, quality, and public service are vital for national prosperity.
