Field Marshal Asim Munir, Lebanese Interior Minister Discuss Regional Security at GHQ

RAWALPINDI :  Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar met Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Monday, during his two-day official visit to Pakistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security situation and avenues for further strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the security domain.

The two sides underscored the importance of strengthening institutional linkages between the security institutions of Pakistan and Lebanon and enhancing mutual cooperation, the military’s media wing said.

The Lebanese Interior Minister appreciated Pakistan’s efforts towards promoting regional peace and stability.

He also acknowledged the professional capabilities and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in combating terrorism.
