PTI govt in KP spent 87 crore rupees on social media

ISLAMABAD:The Pakistan Tehrik Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had allocated Rs 87 crore in 2021-22, financial years for the recruitment of people in the social media wing for promoting the narrative through social media and propagandizing against the opponents.

“According to the details available with WTP, the majority of the recruited youths were the relatives of PTI leaders. The provincial government of PTI made 5,000 recruitments for the social media wing and caused a loss of crores of rupees to the public exchequer.

These social media activists recruited on a one-year contract are being paid twenty five thousand rupees per person per month.

The sources from KP Information Ministry, about 1,000 of them were recruited by the Information Department, for which YouTubers with more than 5,000 viewers on Facebook were recruited.
In which most of the PTI members were relatives of parliamentarians.
Who have created fake YouTube channels. Majority of them are youths who are relatives of PTI MNAs, MPAs and they are still studying in universities.
Between thirty and fifty youths have been recruited from each district in KP.

According to available information, 87 crore rupees have been approved for this in the budget 2021-22 and it has been fully mentioned in the budget document that the government’s performance
