Kashmiris gain renewed hope in their struggle: Chairman KC

ISLAMABAD- APP: Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, Rana Qasim Noon, on Tuesday, emphasized that their recent visit to the United Kingdom (UK), along with Pak army’s recent response to India, has reignited international attention on the Kashmir issue and given new hope to the Kashmiris in their ongoing struggle for self-determination.

While speaking at the press conference in Islamabad, accompanied by committee members including members Syed Javed Ali Shah Jillani MNA, Riyaz Khan Fatyana MNA, and others, Rana Qasim Noon said that the Kashmiri and Pakistani community in the UK has lauded the Pak army for giving the befitting reply to Indian aggression.

During their visit, he said, the committee members urged the British authorities and lawmakers to actively contribute toward resolving the longstanding Kashmir conflict, highlighting the ongoing human rights violations faced by Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Rana Qasim Noon described Kashmir as the “jugular vein of Pakistan,” asserting that the issue is not merely a bilateral dispute but an internationally recognized dispute that should be resolved in accordance with the United Nations (UN) resolutions.

He also commended Pakistan’s military leadership, asserting that their resolute actions have inscribed a significant chapter in the nation’s military history.

“Pak army victory over India has written a golden chapter in military history,” he said.

He expressed confidence that the Kashmir issues would be resolved as peace in the region could not be achieved without a just and lasting resolution to the Kashmir issue.
