MUZAFFARABAD: Newly elected Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Barrister Iftikhar Ali Gillani has announced that internet services and key entry and exit routes across the region will be restored within the next two days.
Speaking to journalists during his first visit to the Central Press Club after assuming office, Gillani said reopening internal and external routes and restoring communications were among his government’s immediate priorities.
He said internet services would be restored in phases, with educational institutions receiving priority in the first phase. Connectivity at educational institutions is expected to resume within two days.
The prime minister said his government would focus on strengthening good governance, resolving public grievances and improving administrative affairs across Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Gillani also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the Kashmir freedom movement, describing it as one of the administration’s key priorities.
