GCUH Alumni Association Opens first-ever Karachi chapter office

Karachi -UNS:  The Alumni Association of Government College University Hyderabad (GCUH) Karachi chapter has inaugurated its first-ever office in Clifton, Karachi. The ceremony, held earlier today, was led by Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, Chairman of the Alumni Advisory Board, with Mr. Iqbal Qureshi, Patron-in-Chief, and Dr. Ashfaq Qureshi, President of the Alumni Association also in attendance.
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a ceremonial cake-cutting. During his speech, Dr. Rajput commended Mr. Amin Yousuf, Secretary of the Karachi chapter, for his dedication and swift work in establishing the office. He also expressed gratitude to Mr. Iqbal Qureshi for his generous contribution of the office space, which was provided at no cost.
Looking ahead, Dr. Rajput outlined the association’s key initiatives, which include focusing on the Phuleli canal, improving sports and recreation facilities in Hyderabad, and providing welfare for students in need.
Mr. Yousuf reinforced the chapter’s commitment to these projects, stating that the new office will serve as a dedicated space for members to meet and strategize to achieve their goals. He assured attendees that the Karachi chapter, with the support of its senior members, would prioritize these initiatives to achieve positive results.
Other notable attendees included former President Mr. Rehman Rajput, along with Mr. Shamim A Khan, Prof. Majiduz Zafar, Aftab Husain, Mr. Aleem Lashari, Mr. Shariq Ahmed, and Joint Secretary Dr. Shoaib Shaikh, Chiragh Shaikh as well as other office bearers and members of the Karachi chapter’s Executive Committee. Mr. Jahangir Ahmed Vice President, Mr. Nasim A Khan Joint Secretary, Mr. Fahim Qureshi Treasurer, Shahid Aleem, Abid Hussain, S. M. Shakaib, Iqbal Shaikh, Ather Ali, M. Akram, Shaukat Ali, Anis Ahmed, Syed Muttaqi Hassan, Dr. Shoukat Zaman, Sohail Malik and Col.Rahat Shabaz Mecci.
