‘Growth in exports cannot happen without giving incentives to the export sector’

ISLAMABAD -UNS:President Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Atif Ikram Sheikh has said that it is not possible to increase the revenue by increasing the tax rate, instead of increasing the tax rate, the tax base should be increased.

For the improvement of the economic index, the government has to cooperate with the business community. Together with the government, the exporters can take the exports up to 60 billion dollars.

Federation President Atif Ikram said that the increase in exports is not possible without giving incentives to the export sector, it is important to restore the relationship of the government with the export industry. In the next 10 years, we will definitely achieve the goal of increasing exports to 100 billion dollars. The export sector can play an important role in earning foreign exchange for the country. We demand that the customs and additional customs duties should be reduced in the budget of the next financial year.
