Islamabad -UNS: tapmad has secured the exclusive digital and television broadcasting rights for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Pakistan, marking a major milestone for the country’s leading streaming platform.
The acquisition further strengthens tapmad’s position in Pakistan’s sports streaming market, where it has already built a strong following through coverage of major international football leagues and tournaments.
Organized by FIFA, the upcoming FIFA World Cup will be the largest edition in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 teams, an expanded match schedule, and broader global participation.
Under the agreement, tapmad will stream every World Cup match live in HD through its digital platform. The company also announced several interactive features aimed at enhancing the viewing experience, including live match timelines, team lineups, detailed statistics, minute-by-minute updates, and Multi-Stream Split-Screen Viewing on its TV app, allowing fans to watch multiple matches simultaneously.
Yassir Pasha described the deal as a defining moment for football broadcasting in Pakistan, saying the platform aims to deliver a seamless and uninterrupted experience that matches the passion surrounding the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Aly Rana said the platform’s new viewing features are designed to offer fans a more immersive and interactive tournament experience alongside reliable live streaming.
