LAHORE -UNS: Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) organized protests in every nuke and cranny of the country on Friday against Houthi drone attacks on Makkah. Religious scholars also highlighted the protection and sanctity of the Haramain in their Friday sermons.
PMML leaders said the protection of the Haramain was a duty of every Muslim. They said Pakistan could not remain silent if Saudi Arabia came under attack. They welcomed the statement by the Pakistan Army spokesperson that Pakistan would defend Saudi Arabia to the fullest extent, describing it as consistent with public sentiment.
In Lahore, Pak Lawyers Forum (PLF) organized a protest. A large number of lawyers attended the protest. PMML President Khalid Masood Sindhu, Vice President Hafiz Talha Saeed, Punjab Bar Council member Tahir Nasrullah Waraich, Pak Lawyers Forum President Rana Abdul Hafeez, retired judge Aamir Habib, and PMML Lahore General Secretary Chaudhry Hameed-ul-Hassan Gujjar addressed the gathering.
Khalid Masood Sindhu called for a clear and effective role by Pakistan to protect the Haramain and Saudi Arabia’s security.
Hafiz Talha Saeed, Tahir Nasrullah Waraich, Rana Abdul Hafeez and other speakers said the Haramain were sacred places for Muslims across the world.
