Islamabad: In celebration of Eid ul Fitr 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, delivered a heartfelt message to the Home-Based and Locally Recruited Staff of the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad.

In his message, the High Commissioner extended warm Eid greetings to all staff members, commending their dedication and valuable contributions throughout the year. He noted that Eid ul Fitr is not merely a festive occasion, but also a time for reflection on the spiritual journey of Ramadan—a period that nurtures patience, humility, and compassion.

Emphasizing the importance of gratitude, he encouraged staff to appreciate both personal and professional blessings. He urged them to carry forward the values cultivated during Ramadan—kindness, discipline, and empathy—into their daily lives and workplace.

The High Commissioner also highlighted the significance of fostering a harmonious and respectful work environment. He stressed that unity and mutual understanding are essential to strengthening the mission’s effectiveness.

As representatives of Malaysia abroad, he reminded staff of their role in reflecting the country’s identity as a peaceful, respectful, and inclusive nation.

Addressing global challenges, he underscored the importance of peace as a core value cherished by Malaysians. He encouraged everyone to embody these principles and contribute positively to both their professional responsibilities and the wider community.

As a gesture of appreciation and goodwill, the High Commissioner distributed Eid food packages to locally recruited staff, reflecting the spirit of sharing and care that defines the festive season.

Extending the festive spirit beyond the High Commission, he conveyed sincere Eid ul Fitr greetings to the Government and people of Pakistan, expressing gratitude for the strong bilateral relations and warm hospitality extended to Malaysia. He expressed hope for continued friendship, prosperity, and peace between the two nations.

In closing, he once again extended his best wishes and shared the traditional Malaysian greeting: “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin,” a phrase that conveys heartfelt Eid greetings while seeking forgiveness for any wrongdoings, in the spirit of reconciliation and renewal.
