RAWALPINDI -UNS : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was transferred from Adiala Jail to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad on Thursday for a medical examination.
According to sources, Khan was moved under strict security arrangements to the hospital, where a team of specialist doctors is conducting a comprehensive health assessment.
Officials said that particular attention will be given to an examination of his eyes, with specialists expected to carry out detailed tests to evaluate his condition.
Medical experts will determine whether any further treatment or procedures are required after reviewing the examination results.
Security was significantly increased during Khan’s transfer, with additional measures implemented both along the route and around the hospital premises.
Following the completion of the medical check-up, Khan is expected to be returned to Adiala Jail, where he remains in custody.
Authorities have not yet released any official details regarding the outcome of the examination.
