ISLAMABAD-UNS: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has categorically rejected reports that party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan is negotiating any deal, saying he considers his continued imprisonment unjustified.
Speaking to journalists at Parliament House, Barrister Gohar said there were no negotiations for any deal involving the PTI founder. He called on the authorities to implement the court’s order concerning Imran Khan without further delay.
Gohar said considerable time had already been consumed in legal proceedings before the order was finally issued. He maintained that once the court had given its directive, the relevant authorities should ensure its implementation.
Referring to the federal government’s review petition, the PTI chairman said it had not yet been assigned a number.
Barrister Gohar also appreciated the authorities for fulfilling their commitment to allow Nooreen Niazi to meet Imran Khan.
He said he had not spoken to Nooreen Niazi following her meeting with the former prime minister, adding that she had honoured her commitment regarding communication after the meeting.
Reiterating PTI’s position, Barrister Gohar said Imran Khan was neither seeking nor negotiating a political deal and maintained that his continued detention was unjustified.
