ISLAMABAD: The government is facing growing political and public pressure amid allegations of record inflation, corruption ,unemployment, injustice, poor governance, rising terrorism and institutional decline.

Opposition leaders have accused the ruling coalition of failing to address the country’s most pressing challenges, claiming that its policies have instead deepened the crises.

They alleged that those in power were involved in financial, social and administrative corruption while maintaining lavish lifestyles and imposing heavy taxes on already struggling citizens.

The opposition also criticised attempts to restrict its constitutional right to peaceful protest, warning that public frustration was rapidly increasing.

Referring to upcoming demonstrations, opposition figures said Jamaat-e-Islami started long march from today September 20, followed by the Kashmir Action Committee on September 22, farmers on September 25 and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on September 27.

“With several groups preparing to launch protests within days, how will the government manage the situation, and what will remain of its authority?” they questioned.

Twin Cities Sealed with Containers Amid Rising Inflation and Political Crackdown.
Islamabad and Rawalpindi have been completely sealed off with shipping containers under the guise of security measures following protest calls, effectively transforming the federal capital into a ‘city of containers.’
This extensive blockade has caused severe disruptions for ordinary citizens, including patients, students, laborers, and business owners.
The most devastating impact is being felt by daily wage earners, who face immense difficulties in earning their livelihood, triggering fears of imminent starvation.
Public circles express that continuous and cruel hikes in petroleum prices had already broken the back of the poor, and these widespread road closures have now exacerbated their misery.
Meanwhile, the political landscape remains highly polarized; the opposition appears fractured, while the government faces intense criticism for allegedly using state force and high-handed tactics to cling to power.
As part of an ongoing political crackdown, thousands of opposition leaders and workers have been jailed.
Recently, former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, was also detained and sent to prison.
Critics argue that the judiciary appears helpless in the current climate, pointing to a recent controversial court ruling in one of Imran Khan’s cases that has drawn widespread public disappointment and collective dismay across the nation.
Over all political turmoil in country on high level. The government have no political and moral position and government losed the moral ground and failed to manage and control the challenges.
They further claimed that even some federal ministers had privately acknowledged that the government and existing system was becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
