Secretary Housing Directs Phased Possession of F-14/F-15 Plots; Allottees to Receive Possession Within Three Years

ISLAMABAD -UNS : Secretary Housing and Works Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Mehmood has directed the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) to begin the phased handover of residential plots in Sectors F-14 and F-15 within six months for areas cleared by the end of the current year, while ensuring that all allottees receive possession within the next three years.

The directives were issued during a high-level review meeting held at the FGEHA Headquarters, attended by Director General FGEHA Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, project directors, heads of relevant wings, and other senior officials. The meeting reviewed the progress of several ongoing projects, including G-14 Markaz, F-14/F-15, FGEHA Lifestyle Residency, Skyline Apartments, and other development schemes.

The Secretary instructed the authority to commence development work on the Lifestyle Residency Project without delay and emphasized that the auction of commercial plots must be conducted with complete transparency and in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations. He also stressed the effective utilization of commercial assets, enhancement of revenue generation, and the phased digitalization of FGEHA services to improve efficiency and public service delivery.

Following the meeting, the Secretary visited Sector F-14/F-15 and G-14 Markaz, where he reviewed ongoing development activities. He announced that possession of plots in cleared areas of F-14/F-15 would begin in phases within six months, while the remaining allottees would receive possession as land acquisition and development activities progress over the next three years.

Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Mehmood directed officials to ensure world-class development standards in the new sectors, including dedicated cycling tracks, modern infrastructure, landscaped green belts, and high-quality civic facilities. He made it clear that no compromise would be accepted on construction quality and announced that the projects would be inspected again in the near future.

He directed officials to immediately improve civic facilities, remove encroachments, protect government land, strengthen land management, and accelerate development work. He reiterated that the timely and quality completion of all housing projects remains a top government priority, warning that negligence or unnecessary delays would not be tolerated while outstanding performance would be duly recognized.

The Secretary appreciated the performance of Director General FGEHA Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal, engineers, and project staff for their professional commitment and dedication.

On the occasion, DG FGEHA Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal instructed all concerned officers to expedite administrative and technical work related to plot possession, complete pending matters concerning unacquired land, and strengthen coordination among all departments to ensure the timely completion of development works and the phased delivery of plots to allottees.
