LKARACHI-UNS : A delegation from Greenwich University, headed by Chancellor Dr. Seema Mughal and accompanied by Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Dr. Rab Nawaz, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, in Islamabad to discuss prospects for academic cooperation and educational collaboration between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities to strengthen educational ties through institutional partnerships, academic exchange programs, and collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing higher education.
Ambassador Khazar Farhadov reaffirmed his full support in facilitating partnerships between Greenwich University and leading Azerbaijani universities.
He underscored the significance of developing academic linkages through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), joint degree programs, collaborative research projects, student and faculty exchange opportunities, language promotion initiatives, internships, and educational and cultural visits.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Seema Mughal highlighted several potential areas for cooperation, including the introduction of 2+2 academic pathway programs, Greenwich University’s Pre-University Foundation Program, educational development projects, capacity-building initiatives, and greater access to international qualifications.
She also identified teacher training, curriculum development, quality assurance, and quality enhancement as key sectors where institutions in Pakistan and Azerbaijan could collaborate for mutual benefit.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing a strong commitment to advancing academic cooperation and fostering long-term educational partnerships between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Seema Mughal presented a commemorative memento of Greenwich University to Ambassador Khazar Farhadov as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation.
