PESHAWAR UNS: Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia CIS (APGR -CIS) organized a three day visit (27-29 October) of Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan Danila V. Ganich. During the visit, Danila Ganich attended a friendly dinner hosted by the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & CIS on 27 th October 2023. Ambassador and member of the delegation enjoyed the delicious local foods and had a very intellectual discussion with other guests in a friendly environment. He thanked Dr. Shahid Hassan,Chairman and Engr. Iftikhar Ali, General Secretary of the Association for arranging such a beautiful evening.
On 28 th October 2023 at 11 am,Danila Ganich, attended an interactive session in relation to “Pakistan-Russia bilateral relation s with special focus on educational exchange with area study center” organized by area study center, university of Peshawar in collaboration with Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & CIS. The Ambassador very briefly responded to the questions of the audience.
On same day, Danila V. Ganich attended the main event organized by the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & CIS, where he was the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by the Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education and Higher Education, Archives & Libraries in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province of Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Qasim Jan as a guest of Honor.
The event was also attended by large number of graduates of the KPK Province, graduated from Russia and CIS countries along with other dignitaries belonging to different sphere of life.
During his speech, H.E. Danila Galich, told that he is delighted to be here today and express his views in front of such a lovely crowd in Peshawar. This is a momentous occasion, and it marks a new chapter in the relationship and further strengthening of friendly relations between Russia and Pakistan.
Russia and Pakistan have a long and rich history of bilateral relations. The two countries always stood by each other in times of need. In recent years, our ties have grown even stronger, and we have seen a significant increase in cooperation in a wide range of areas, including education, culture, trade, and investment. My recent visit to Peshawar is a symbol of our commitment to further strengthening our ties in the field of education. It will provide a platform for students, educators, and researchers from both countries to interact with each other, share knowledge, and collaborate on joint projects. I am confident that the
friendly relations between Pakistan and Russia will be strengthen further and we will
continue our collaboration in all areas of mutual interest.
During his speech, Prof. Dr. Qasim Jan, told that This is a landmark development in the
field of education in Pakistan. Russia is a world leader in education and research. It is home
to some of the finest universities and research institutions in the world. The Pakistani
students, educators, and researchers with a unique opportunity to learn from and
collaborate with their Russian counterparts. I am confident that the Association will play a
vital role in bridging the ties and educations opportunities Pakistani students and in
promoting research and innovation for the researchers and universities. I wish them all the
success.
During his speech, Engr. Iftikhar Ali, General Secretary of the Association of
Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS, put light on the diplomatic relations between
Pakistan and Russia which started in May 1948. He further told the audience about current
import and export areas and volume and trade between the two countries and hoped that in
near future the volume of trade will be enhanced as a lot of opportunities and scope exist
for its further increase. He also briefed the participants about the history, achievements and
activities of the Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia & CIS. He assured that the
association will continue playing its vital role in promoting the friendly ties and will extend
all possible support to the traders, Pakistani students and researchers in the areas of their
interest.
Dr. Shahid Hassan, Chairman of the Association, thanked the guests in his concluding
remarks.

The guests were invited to a high tea and musical program for cultural harmony. The
program featured traditional Russian and Pakistani music and dance performances. The
guests enjoyed the cultural performances and interacted with each other in a relaxed and
