‘All issues of Tarbela-5 workers will be resolved soon’

TarbelaGhazi: “Chief Engineer and Project Director Tarbela 5th Extension Project, Waseem Raza, said that the issues of the workers working on Tarbela 5 will be resolved. We will remove the difficulties and Workers will work with responsibility to complete the project on time.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony organized by Pakistan China Construction Company Limited (PCCCL) on May 1st, Labor Day, at the project site. Project Manager Consultant Mark Gill, Tarbela 5 Public Labor Union General Secretary Aslam Adil, and company representative Hamid Khan also addressed the ceremony. PCCCL also arranged a special lunch for the workers.
Chief Engineer and Project Director Waseem Raza said that China is our friendly neighboring country, which is working for the development and construction of our country in difficult times. We are proud of Pak-China friendship. He said that the local and foreign workers working on the Tarbela 5th Extension Project are our assets, and they have an important role in completing the project on time. Completing the project on time is our target, and workers have an important role in achieving this target.
The issues faced by workers will be resolved through the mutual cooperation of the company administration, GRC, and the union.Aslam Adil, General Secretary of the Tarbela 5 Public Labor Union, said in his address that today is May 1st, Labor Day, and we are all gathered here to celebrate it. He said that the Tarbela Dam is a national project of the country, and it has great importance.
Completing the Tarbela 5th Extension Project on time is our responsibility. If workers face any issues, GRC and the union will resolve them, God willing. Company Admin Officer Hamid Khan said that our focus is on completing the project on time, and if workers cooperate, we can complete the project by 2026, a year ahead of schedule. The company will take all possible steps to resolve the issues of the workers.”
