ISLAMABAD –UNS: Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University School of Dentistry Hospital,PIMS is facing serious problems due to mismanagement and irresponsibility of staff and unprofessional attitude towards poor patients.
The recently established dental hospital in premises of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences(PIMS) suffered from mismanagement from the very beginning due to the management’s attitude. It faces problems with discrimination against poor patients.
The government hospital is being run like a private hospital to make money. The management and doctors are ignoring the public and patients to extract money from the private patients and fill their coffers.
Due to which the agitation and frustration among the people is increasing.
In the hospital built by the public tax on, the public is not getting treatment and the special class is benefiting.
A patient namely Aslam while talking to WORLD TRIBUNE PAK said that poor patients are given long appointments for treatment for several months. ‘Staff and doctors’ behavior towards patients is extremely rude’. Junior or house job doctors treat normal patients and not senior doctors. Like PIMS, this hospital is also a disaster. The victim is starting to suffer.
One of the management member said that the hospital facing lack funds issue, the government is not issuing funds to the hospital.
The Dentistry Hospital administration was contacted to take a version, but no contact could be made, however ,WTP is ready to publish stand of the Hospital administration.
