Akora Khattak: Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (S), Maulana Abdul Haq Sani, has welcomed the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, terming it a positive outcome of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and an encouraging step toward regional peace.
He stated that Pakistan’s initiatives reflect the aspirations of its people and deserve appreciation at both national and international levels.
Maulana Sani expressed hope that the ceasefire would pave the way for lasting stability in the Middle East and prevent any aggressive power from undermining the sovereignty of other nations.
He further remarked that the development has foiled attempts by hostile forces to instigate conflict among Muslim countries in the region.
He praised the role of Arab states, particularly Saudi Arabia, for demonstrating restraint and wisdom by staying out of the conflict, thereby helping to neutralize destabilizing agendas.
However, he strongly condemned Iran’s alleged missile strike toward Saudi territory and urged Tehran to respect the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques.
The remarks were made during an event marking the inclusion of former electoral candidates and several supporters into JUI-S, reaffirming confidence in the party’s leadership.
