Retired Army man allegedly harassed by police in Wah: Appeals for Justice

By Crime Reporter

Wah Cantt: A retired Pakistan Army soldier, Nasir, has accused local police officials in Wah Cantt of harassment, misuse of authority and registering false cases against him, saying the situation has left him and his daughters homeless and in extreme distress.

In his statement, Nasir alleged that Sub-Inspector of Police Station Saddar Wah, in alleged collusion with his landlord, implicated him in a false criminal case after he refused to give his daughter’s hand in marriage.

He said he had been living in the same house for nearly 10 years without ever defaulting on rent.

Despite clearing all outstanding dues, Nasir claimed he was denied access to his household belongings with police involvement, forcing him and his daughters to spend nights sleeping in a rickshaw.

The rCor also alleged that a similar false case had earlier been registered on the landlord’s complaint and that he is now being threatened with another FIR by the same police officer.

“I spent my service life protecting the mothers and daughters of this nation,” Nasir said. “Today, for protecting my own daughter’s dignity, I am facing continuous pressure and harassment.”

In an appeal to Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nasir sought intervention to ensure justice and protection for his daughters. Addressing the Punjab government, he warned that if departmental action is not taken against the concerned police official, he fears being pushed toward an extreme step along with his daughters.

Nasir added that after retirement he earns a lawful living by driving a rickshaw, but police actions have made his life unbearable.
