Karachi: Historically, from the era of Moghals and Mehmood Ghanavi, Turkiye has its presence in the central asia and sub-continent, and that is the reason due to which both countries have long and excellent bilateral relations.
This was stated by the outgoing Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye at the farewell lunch hosted in his honor by the Center for Alternative Perspectives at the DHA Golf Club in Karachi.
He said the relations between Pakistan and Turkiye are soul to soul and 1000 years old, and it is not a coincidence as there were connections between Ottoman Empire and the Moghals.
Cemal Sangu said that the future of Pakistan is the future of Turkiye and whatever the circumstances, we are always together.
Reminding the audience, he said that Pakistan was the first country to send aid when Turkiye was hit by earthquake. Likewise, during the floods in Pakistan, Turkiye was the first country to send the aid.
Cemal Sangu emphasized that the power engine for development is education. He said that there are 28 Tukish schools across Pakistan having 13 thousand students.
He thanked the Center for Alternative Perspectives (CAP) for honoring him to be part of such an event.
The founder of CAP Dr. Samreen Bari Aamir said that Cemal Sangu tenure as Consul General will be remembered for a long time to come.
The General Secretary of CAP Dr. Sundus Basharat Ahmed welcomed Cemal Sangu and said that Pakistan Turkiye relations cementing further with the passage of time.
Former Dean of Arts and Social Sciences of University of Karachi and mentor of CAP Dr. Shaista Tabassum praised the interest of the Consul General in the development of education in Pakistan.
The head of PTV World in Karachi Ali Asghar Arbab said that Turkiye and Pakistan are two countries,
but one nation that is culturally embedded.
The General Secretary Palestine Foundation Dr. Sabir Abu Maryum thanked His Excellency Consul General Cemal Sangu for supporting the cause of Palestine.
Dean of Social Sciences Greenwuch University Fatima Agha Shah praising Cemal Sangu said that he is a very cooperative and dedicated person.
Later, President of CAP Dr. Sidra Ahmed presented a shield in token of appreciation to Cemal Sangu.
