Moscow – UNS : Russia has diplomatically recognized the Afghan Taliban government, after which Russia has become the first country to Diplomatically accept his government after the Taliban came to power.
According to the UNS, Russia has accepted the credentials of Afghanistan’s new ambassador in Moscow.
In this regard, the Russian Foreign Ministry says the process of formal recognition of the Taliban government will promote bilateral cooperation in various fields.
It is mentioned here that after the withdrawal of US troops on August 15, 2021, the Taliban had re -occupied the Afghan capital Kabul.
Russia has gradually restored its relations with Afghanistan after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021. Two years ago, Russian President Putin said his country considers the Taliban as its ally to end terrorism.
