Zakat Foundation of America,Ministry of Education agrees to work together in education sector,employment

ISLAMABAD -UNS: Dr. Fazal Rahman, Country Representative Zakat Foundation of America (ZFA) visited Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and met with Minister of State for Federal Education and professional Training Ms. Wajiha Qamar. The discussion cantered around key areas like out of school children, girls’ education and youth empowerment.
Ms. Qamar praised the Foundation’s ongoing work in Pakistan, especially its efforts in skill-building for young people and educational support for orphaned children. “Such organizations are a beacon of hope for our youth and society,” she remarked.
Dr. Rahman shared that Zakat Foundation is a Chicago-based international NGO run by a Turkish-American Muslim leadership. The organization is actively involved in various educational and social development projects throughout Pakistan.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore various possible avenues where public and private/development sector collaborate and cooperate each other in the field of education and youth development. The Minister expressed her full support, saying that the Ministry of Education stands ready to partner with organizations that are truly making a difference on the ground.
