PTI practiced its “Law abiding” agenda by appointing Director Law in Commissioner Office illegally

ISLAMABAD : Auditor General of Pakistan in its audit report finds inappropriate appointments, suggesting an inquiry against these illegal and irregular appointments made in office of Chief Commissioner, ICT. A strict action must be taken against the appointing officers and recovery must be put on the appointee officers, according to the audit observations.
Ch. Asghar Ali was assigned duties of Director (Law) by Chief Commissioner vide order No. 2(9)-Admin/95/Vol-IV-777 dated 02-05-2018. His order was not covered under the rules.
During the tenure of PTI’s government, a BS-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, Flt. Lt. (Retd) Imran Qureshi was once again illegally posted as Director (Law) vide office order No. 1(8)-Admin/2019-745 dated 26-03-2019 despite the fact that the post was already occupied by Ch. Asghar Ali.
Appointments of Ms. Sana D/o Muhammad Maqbool Khan as Record Keeper and Mr. Irshad Ali as Accountant were also made against non-sanctioned posts.
All above posts were filled in a hassle without following selection procedures and approval of competent authority.
According to the rules, these posts cannot be filled without prior approval of Finance Division and constitution of selection committee while office of Chief Commissioner had never bothered to follow the rules. DAC was not furnished and procedures were deliberately ignored.
