GUJRANWALA : An important meeting of the District Peace Committee, Inter-Religious Harmony Committee regarding the Ramadan under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tariq Qureshi was held on Monday.
The Deputy Commissioner Tariq Qureshi said that the role of scholars of all schools of thought in making Gujranwala a cradle of peace has always been positive and constructive. All outstanding issues will be resolved by using this forum in future as well. The problems identified in the meeting including traffic, encroachment, illegal profit and hoarding, lack of measurement will be resolved immediately and the relevant departments will be mobilized in this regard.
On the suggestions given by scholars for cleanliness, security, elimination of encroachments, drainage, traffic flow in markets in Ramadan, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP contacted the traffic authorities, Municipal Corporation, District Council, Wasa, G. Issue instructions to WMC officers.
Deputy Commissioner ,while appreciating the district peace committee and the wonderful atmosphere of interfaith harmony throughout the district said that the success of the state is not possible without peace, the role of the law enforcement agencies as well as especially the scholars and members should never be forgotten.

Rizvi, Syed Faiq Hussain Naqvi, Syed Khawar Azhar Bukhari, Anjuman Tajran Haroon Raghib Mir, Muhammad Saleem, Professor Shahzad Lawrence, Pastor Arif Siraj and others participated.
