Sargodha: The Punjab government will distribute free rations to over 0.476 million rupees deserving families in Sargodha Division under the Ramadan package.
This includes 0.206 m in Sargodha, 64,000 in Khushab, 83,000 in Mianwali, and 0.123 m in Bhakkar district. A review meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sargodha Division Muhammad Ajmal Bhatti in his committee room on Tuesday in this regard. The meeting was attended via video link by Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retired) Shoaib Ali, ADC(R) Mohsin Salahuddin, and ACG Hafiz Abdul Mannan besides Deputy Commissioners of Khushab, Mianwali, and Bhakkar.
The Commissioner directed all the four Deputy Commissioners to complete the scrutiny of records provided by the Punjab government within two days. He emphasized obtaining the services of officials from various departments, including Patwaris, Union Council Secretaries, and Revenue officers, to ensure timely and safe delivery of the Ramadan package to deserving individuals. Instructions were issued to complete the transportation plan by March 15 to ensure up to 100% delivery of the Ramadan package in all districts of the division.
Furthermore, it was directed to prepare food hampers by March 2, and during the packaging, officials from the Food Authority and Revenue should be present to ensure quality and quantity.
Directives were also issued for direct monitoring of all operations by Deputy Commissioners and AssistantCommissioners along with other relevant officers remaining in the field. The Commissioner highlighted that the Punjab government had initiated a revolutionary program this year to deliver free rations to deserving individuals at their doorsteps. Administrative officers were urged to work diligently to ensure that no deserving individuals are deprived of their right. The Commissioner also instructed to keep his office informed of the progress based on the implementation of this operation in all four districts. Detailed briefings on the preparations for the Ramadan package distribution were given by all four DeputyCommissioners in the meeting.
