Jail trial is in favour of PTI chief, disposes of plea: IHC

ISLAMABAD -UNS: Islamabad High Court on Monday disposed of PTI chairman’s petition against his jail trial in cipher case.

The court said apparently there was no malafide intention in conducting trial of PTI chief in jail. The court further said the former prime minister had also expressed his apprehensions about security threat to him in past.

The judge said the relevant forum against jail trial was trial court. If PTI chief had any reservations, he should approach trial court for the purpose.
The then disposed of the petition.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq announced the decision.
