ISLAMABAD-UNS: Manipulation for the caretaker prime minister has entered the final stage. In this phase, everyone can get a big headache in the form of former army chief General® Raheel Sharif as a strong of care taker prime minister. According to reliable sources, General® Raheel Sharif is a strong candidate for the caretaker prime minister with the full support of establishment.
General ® Raheel Sharif, who has come forward as a candidate for care taker prime minister, has also made important meetings in Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Tuesday.
The sources said that the coming care taker government will take long time i.e up-to three years.
According to the sources, Raheel Sharif’s name was being considered for the interim setup as prime minister before this, and before that, Raheel Sharif’s name was also being considered for the technocratic government for a long time.
Sources said that Raheel Sharif’s name will be presented by opposition leader Raja Riaz to the Prime Minister during the meeting on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif may have reservations about General Raheel Sharif but PPP’s Asif Zardari has agreed.
The name of General Raheel Sharif is included among the most important and successful army chiefs of Pakistan Army.
His good relations with the Saudi leadership as the Prime Minister of Pakistan will increase the investment of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan.
The tenure of the incumbent government would end on Aug 14.
The other names include former finance minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, ex-prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, retired Justice Khalil Ramdy, Fawad Hassan Fawad, Rauf Sheikh and Zulfiqar Magsi.
Punjab interim chief minister Mohsin Naqvi and former Sindh governor Dr Ishratul Ibad are also said to be vying for the caretaker prime minister.
However, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Raja Riaz said on Tuesday he had finalised three names for the interim PM. He said he would share these names with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
