Soft drinks main cause of cancer in Pakistan

Cancer disease is on high increase in Pakistan especially in KP province. According to recent reaserch soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dew,7-Up,Sprite, Fanta,Mirinda etc. are one of the main cause of spreading of this heinous disease cancer. which is the main cause of cancer.
UNS news agency has reported that a recent study by the World Health Organization (WHO) has proven that carcinogens are used in soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dew,7-Up, Sprite, Fanta, etc., which is the main cause of cancer.
The importance of this research cannot be denied because in recent years this type of drink has become fashionable among the new generation of hilly areas like Dir,Swat ,Chitral,Malakand,Abbottabad,Mansehra,Shangla districts.
According to survey in various hospitals, cancer patients are gradually increasing in these areas and others parts of KP.
The Doctors and others experts advised all people not to give and use soft drinks to their family members or guests and to give it up themselves.

A study has found a positive link between soft drink consumption and cancer risk.
According to Guardian report People who regularly consume at least one sugary soft drink a day, no matter the size of their waist, could be at increased risk of cancer, according to a new study.

Researchers from Cancer Council Victoria and University of Melbourne studied more than 35,000 Australians who developed 3,283 cases of obesity-related cancers.

The study found a positive association between soft drink consumption and cancer risk, independent of obesity, after statistically adjusting for waist circumference.

“Initially our hypothesis was that drinking soft drinks would cause obesity which would then cause an association with obesity-related cancers but we found that there was more beyond the effect of obesity,” said the lead researcher, Assoc Prof Allison Hodge of Cancer Council Victoria’s epidemiology and intelligence division.

“These particular cancers are commonly associated with obesity, however, our research found this risk existed for all participants, no matter their size.”

According to the research, which was conducted through the Melbourne Collaborative Cohort Study, the more sugary soft drinks participants drank the higher their risk of cancer.
