South Waziristan-UNS : Arsalan Asad from South Waziristan won the gold medal at the New York Metropolitan Taekwondo Championships held at Resort World Catskills New York.
Arsalan Asad played 2 fights against American opponents and won the gold medal. He named this gold medal after his late coach Muhammad Zaar khan Mehsud who was brutally targeted by extremists about 3 months ago.
Asad is the second consecutive gold medalist to win in the USA, he won his first gold medal on 18 December 2022 at the New Jersey Open Taekwondo Championship in USA. He is trying to represent the national team in the USA for the next competition.
