Victims have not yet received compensation despite commitment

WANA: The affected people of Wana Timber Market while talking to the media said that in 2020, a sudden fire broke out in the timber Market due to unknown reasons, due to which there was a loss worth millions of rupees, despite the government’s promise, the victims are still deprived of compensation.

Wana in the year 2020, the victims have not yet received compensation for the damages caused by the fire in the timber market.

Rehmanullah Wazir, the victim, said that so far the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and the district administration have not helped one pie,Which is not only regrettable but also a great shamefull.

On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party South Waziristan Lower President Aman Ullah Wazir demanded from the caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Provincial Minister for Relief, that in 2020, take concrete measures on an emergency basis to compensate the losses caused by the people of the timber market so that there is no loss of rights.
It should be noted that in the year 2020, a large-scale fire broke out in the Wana timber Market in the tribal district of South Waziristan Lower,

Due to which everything including the valuable timber lying in the timber market was destroyed, the entire Wana timber market was burnt and turned into a pile of ashes due to which people had lost crores of rupees, but till now there was no cure for it.

A report of such massive destruction and damage was compiled by the then district administration and sent to the PDMA.
But the Provincial Disaster Management Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has not yet paid even a single penny to the affected people, which is causing resentment among the people.
