‘Promotion of peace,stability through Jirgas with Pashtun traditions top priority’

WANA: According to details, with the efforts of District Police Officer Shabbir Hussain Marwat and tribal elders of Jirga in South Waziristan Shakai serious enmity has been successfully turned into friendship and peace and order has been maintained in the district.
In this regard, due to the efforts of DPO South Waziristan and Jirga tribal elders, there was a land dispute between the two tribe’s of Spirkai and Khoniey Khel in Wana for years in which the danger of fierce conflict and bloodshed was ever present, amicably resolved into friendship,
The parties embraced each other in the presence of DPO South Waziristan, political leaders and tribal elders of Jirga and pledged to end all grudges and enmities.
On this occasion, DPO South Waziristan said that organizing Jirgas according to Pashtun traditions will continue to eliminate hatred and promote peace and brotherhood,
Police will always play their role in ending tribal conflicts to maintain law and order.
It is the duty of the police as well as the tribal elders and political leaders to ensure that we do not push our future generations towards hostilities and do not sow the seeds of hatred in their hearts, but let knowledge, consciousness, and enlightenment lead the way in a peaceful society and peaceful atmosphere.
