Islamabad: The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has completed his visit to Pakistan and returned to Oman and Russia on his official visit along with his delegation. However, diplomatic sources say that he may visit Pakistan again if the possibility of a second round of negotiations between Iran and the United States emerges.

According to sources, the chances of a second round of talks between the United States and Iran currently appear low. Iran remains firm on its position and wants negotiations to take place on its own terms but US also want to get maximum benefit from talks, the sources said.

The talks between the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Iranian Foreign Minister are being described as positive. However, Pakistan’s leadership has not yet been able to convince Iran to engage in negotiations with the United States.

Abbas Araghchi also met with Field Marshall General Asim Munir, where regional issues were discussed.
