WANA: A 5-day anti-polio campaign was inaugurated in Wana, the headquarter of South Waziristan Lower Tribal District,
According to the details, Additional Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Kashmir Khan (Finance and Planning) and Assistant Commissioner Wana Yasir Salman Kundi formally inaugurated the polio campaign along with tribal elders.
The district administration and the health department say that the five-day anti-polio campaign will continue from February 13 to February 17 in Lower South Waziristan district
A five-day anti-polio campaign will be started from February 13 in 36 Union Councils of South Waziristan Lower District.
During the campaign, 66,332 children under five years of age will be administered polio drops to protect them from infectious diseases like polio
all arrangements have been made to conduct this special polio campaign in the most effective manner.
For this purpose, 365 teams consisting of trained polio workers have been formed, these polio teams include 347 mobile teams, 15 fixed teams, 1 transit team and 2 roaming teams.
37 UPEC Chairman and 101 Area Supervisors have been appointed for effective monitoring of the campaign.
Adequate security arrangements have been made with the help of the police during the anti-polio campaign.
Additional Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower (Finance and Planning) Kashmir Khan has emphasized on all sections of the society, to save the future of your children from being disabled by polio and take an active part in this polio campaign to create a healthy society.
