Three newly appointed judges of IHC sworn in as permanent judges

Islamabad : Three newly appointed judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) were sworn in as permanent judges on Tuesday.

Chief Justice of the IHC Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar administered the oath to Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, Justice Muhammad Asif and Justice Raja Inaam Ameen Minhas during a formal ceremony.

The proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem, while the registrar of the high court read out the official notification regarding the appointments.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, judges of the Islamabad High Court and district judiciary, as well as members of the Islamabad High Court Bar, attended the ceremony.

The Ministry of Law issued the notification for the judges’ permanent appointments after receiving approval from President Asif Ali Zardari.

Prior to their confirmation, the three judges had been serving as ad-hoc judges of the Islamabad High Court for nearly one year.
