Mirpur, AJ&K-UNS :A Wafaqi Mohtasib Team comprising Director General, Wafaqi Mohtasib Office, Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmad and Consultant Khalid Sial held a Khuli Katchery in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir and heard complaints against the federal government agencies and entities there, under the directions of the Wafaqi Mohtasib,Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi.
It gave on the spot instructions for redressal of public complaints to the representatives and officers of the federal government organizations.
During the proceedings, it directed that a complainant may be given financial support out of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) besides instructing the SHO of a nearby police station to hand over the impounded motorcycle, mobile phone and Rs.9,000/- cash to the complainant from whom it was taken illegally.
The SHO concerned assured to hand over the complainant’s motorcycle and other valuables without delay.
The Khuli Katchery was attended by civil society members, media representatives besides a large number of complainants who agitated complaints mostly relating to the OPF, Passport Office, Sui Gas, Postal Life Insurance in addition to Electricity, NADRA, BISP and National Savings.
The Wafaqi Mohtasib Officers issued on the spot instructions to the representatives of the federal agencies present there.
