Govt is not serious to handle present crises: Fazlur Rehman

ISLAMABAD -UNS:JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has walked out of the National Assembly session, convened to deliberate on India’s provocative actions following the Pahalgam incident, citing a lack of seriousness on the part of the government.

Speaking on a point of order before his walkout, the religio-political leader expressed disappointment over the empty treasury benches and the government’s failure to brief the house on the prevailing security situation.

“There is no seriousness in the NA session,” he remarked. “The government should have briefed the house on the security situation.”

He said he had come to Parliament with high expectations, but the environment in the House did not reflect the gravity of the circumstances.
