The Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS, a body of professionals committed to international understanding, scientific progress, and peace, expresses its deep concern over the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India and the recent disturbing reports of an inhuman incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

The Pahalgam incident, as reported, constitutes a grave violation of human rights and humanitarian principles. ‘We call upon the international community to treat this not as a regional issue but as a test of our collective conscience’.
According to Association of Pakistani Graduates from Russia and CIS,both the Government of Pakistan and the Government of India exercise maximum restraint in the current climate, avoiding any actions that could lead to further escalation.
-That both governments renew their commitment to dialogue on all outstanding issues, particularly on Kashmir, with the aim of finding peaceful and people-centric solutions.
-That an independent international commission of inquiry be constituted immediately to investigate the Pahalgam
incident thoroughly, transparently, and impartially, under the supervision of the United Nations or another neutral global body.
-That all parties respect international humanitarian law and the rights of civilians, particularly in conflict zones, ensuring accountability for any violations.
-We believe this is a historic moment to reject war and reassert the principles of human dignity, justice, and peace.

The people of South Asia have suffered enough. Let their future not be dictated by hostility, but shaped by hope.
