Record remittances of over $ 4b in a month by overseas Pakistanis express their confidence on Govt:PM

ISLAMABAD – UNS: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the record remittances of $ 4 billion in a month by overseas Pakistanis express their confidence in the domestic economy and policies of the present government.
Prime Minister  has expressed his gratitude for the first time in the history of remittances from overseas Pakistanis in a month, saying that the remittance of 37.4 per cent in March this year compared to March last year. The increase is a reflection of the confidence in the government policies of Pakistanis across the border.

According to a statement issued by the media wing of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister said that in the context of the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, the good news of the record increase in remittances. The Prime Minister said that remittances recorded in March 2025, the highest level in a month, in March 2025, the highest level of $ 4.1 billion, while remittances so far this fiscal reached $ 28 billion, with remittances increased by 37.4 % in March this year compared to March last year.

He said that in the context of the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad, the the good news of the record increase in remittances is a manifestation of the dedication, passion and confidence in the country’s economy.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistanis around the world not only make the good name of the country and the nation by working hard and dedicated day and night, but also benefits the country’s economy from remittances.

He said that Pakistanis are our assets, the entire nation, including me, is proud of their working hard. The government of Pakistan is committed to providing all facilities to Pakistanis abroad.
