Corruption and nepotism is rampant in Federal Urdu University?

KARACHI: The financial crisis of the Federal Urdu University,Karachi has been further aggravated.The appointment letters of more than 70 lecturers were issued against the decision of the Senate and without obtaining the permission of the Higher Education Commission.

According to sources the two inefficient staffers promoted as Professors. The sources said Dr. Saram and Dr. Shabar Raza also received the professor’s letter even they are not fulfilled required criteria to become Professor. The sources said that Phd Degrees of both Professors are  doubtful.

According to the details, the current Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ziauddin and Acting Treasurer Asim Bukhari decided to make another new history of worsening the financial crisis of the university.

For the past few months, due to the financial crisis, salaries were being paid to the employees late and in installments, now a new financial crisis has arisen.
The month of December has come to an end and the employees have not yet been paid for the house sale despite receiving funds from the Higher Education Commission.

On the other hand, the visits of Acting Vice Chancellor and Acting Treasurer to Islamabad are on the rise. In this regard, the receipt of TADA allowance is ensured but timely salary to the existing management employees.

Federal Urdu University is the only federal university in Pakistan to promote the ideology of Pakistan and Urdu language.But Corruption, mismanagement and nepotism are on the rise in the university.

Due to corruption, nepotism and abuse of merit the university could not achieve its desired goals due to the corruption mafia taking over.The administration is active in publicizing corruption, flaunting merit. (details in this regard will be published soon).
