Pir Sabir Shah is one of those personalities who have always won hearts through their ethics and love for humanity. This great son of Haripur has achieved a commendable status through his simplicity, sincerity, and unconditional love for Pakistan. His family’s legacy of religious service and devotion to Pakistan continues to this day.
Recently, a grand event was held on the occasion of Pir Sabir Shah’s son’s wedding, which saw participation not only from Pakistan but also from Bangladesh. Devotees from Bangladesh arrived via a special chartered flight to be part of this blessed occasion, which is a testament to the global reverence for this family. The event was attended by numerous political, social, and intellectual personalities from Haripur and beyond.
Renowned politicians and dignitaries from Pakistan graced the event, including Raja Ameer Zaman, Sardar Mushtaq, Amir Maqam, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Zafar Iqbal Baig, Iftikhar Mashwani, Raja Faisal Zaman, and Ejaz Durrani, among others. Each guest praised Pir Sabir Shah’s personality, his services, and his unparalleled hospitality.
My association with Pir Sabir Shah dates back to our time in Jeddah, where he once delivered a speech at a significant gathering that left everyone in awe. At one point during the event, tensions began to rise, but Pir Sabir Shah calmly took the microphone and said:
“We come here to recharge the battery of our Pakistani spirit.”
These words not only revitalized the gathering but also united hearts. It was at that moment I realized his greatness.
