KARACHI..The Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority (STEDA) in collaboration with Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL) successfully conducted a workshop on the “Future of Education Technology.” The event featured Prof. Rasool Bux Shah, Director General of STEDA, as the chief guest. In his opening address, Prof. Shah emphasized the transformative potential of integrating advanced technologies into education, highlighting STEDA’s commitment to fostering innovation and development in the education sector. Mr. Laghari, the director Quality assurance gave presentation on the structure and performance of STEDA.
Dr. Mazhar Ali Dootio and Dr. Khadim Hussain Dahri led sessions on AI for Educators and Teaching Pedagogy, respectively. Dr. Dootio’s session covered the global significance of AI, detailing how it can revolutionize education by personalizing learning experiences, automating administrative tasks, and introducing intelligent tutoring systems and AI-based assessments. His practical demonstrations included AI tools for rubric generation, lesson planning, unit objectives creation, facilitating class discussions, and developing critical thinking questions.
Dr. Dahri emphasized the importance of modern teaching pedagogies for teachers, focusing on innovative strategies that engage students and adapt to diverse learners’ needs. He discussed how integrating technology into traditional teaching practices can enhance educational outcomes, making learning more effective and interactive.
Mr. Mirza Waseem Shah, Registrar of BBSUL, concluded the workshop with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of organizers Mr. Raheel Sarwar and Noor Ahmed Soomro. He reiterated BBSUL’s commitment to embracing technological advancements in education. The workshop provided valuable insights into integrating technological innovations in education, benefiting both educators and students.
