Tarbela Ghazi: The affectees of Heavy Transmission lines of the fifth expansion project of the Terbela dam has demanded proper compensations of their properties .To addressed the grievances of the affected a grand jury was convened at the Grid Station.On the occasion the affectees said that ‘our agricultural lands have been destroyed by heavy transmission lines. ‘We are not given any reasonable compensation’. ‘We demand compensation according to the current land rate.’ The affected owners will not tolerate any injustice or excesses with their lands. The affected owners of the lands should fulfill their demands before the installation of heavy transmission lines of the NTDC T-5 project. A development package for the welfare of the affected area should be given.
According to the details,a grand jury of the affected owners of heavy transmission lines of the fifth expansion project of the Tarbela dam was held at TMA Ghazi.The representatives from U.C. Kundi, Khairabad Hamlet, and UC Quetta were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the jury Tehsil Chairman Sahibzada Qasim Shah has said that the affected people should be compensated in proper way and according to their rights.He said that the affected owners of heavy transmission lines would not tolerate injustices and excesses with their lands. ‘NTDC should compensate the affected owners at the current rate of the affected land’.Vice Chairmen Khan Nawaz Khan, Riasat-ur-Rehman, Nasir Iqbal, former Hajj Supervisor Firdous Khan, former Deputy Supervisor Shaukat-ur-Rehman, former ASDO Education Shakir Qureshi, and senior journalist Zahid Iqbal were also adressed the gathering.
The speakers said that Consultation should be held for the use of community funds. A special package should be given for the welfare of the affected. An end should be put to unannounced load shedding. Load dumps should be given alternative routes. Load dumps have destroyed the main market road in Ghazi.
The grand jury also formed a committee for negotiations with NTDC. Which includes Vice Chairman Khan Nawaz Khan, Vice Chairman Nasir Iqbal, Vice Chairman Ghazirah Riasat-ur-Rehman, Vice Chairman Chaudhry Azhar, Vice Chairman Qasim Khan, former supervisor Firdous Khan, Shaukat-ur-Rehman, Shakir Qureshi, and senior journalist President Tarbela Press Club Ghazi Malik Fazal Karim Tehsil Chairman Ghazi Sahibzada Qasim Shah will head the committee.
