Gujranwala: (Talha Aftab Khan) Delivery of election materials to all 05 national and 12 provincial assembly constituencies of Gujranwala has been completed in an orderly manner. All the presiding officers while handing over the election materials were instructed to fulfill their responsibilities with the spirit of national service for conducting transparent and fair elections while keeping their oath, said the District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala. Fayyaz Ahmad Mohal spoke to the presiding officers on the occasion of visiting the delivery centers established at DPS School, Iqbal High School, Municipal Corporation Office, MC Kamonki and MC Nowshera Warkan.
All the returning officers under their supervision have transferred the polling staff and election materials to the respective polling stations, so that the voting process can start on time today and the voters do not face any kind of problem.
According to the details, there are total 1737 polling stations in Gujranwala and considering the sensitivity, the polling stations are A87, B264, C1386.
Modern security and surveillance cameras have also been installed at the district polling stations, besides police and rangers will be on duty at all the polling stations to maintain law and order. Apart from this, Pakistan Army jawans are also present in the district to maintain law and order and conduct elections.
Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Gujranwala has reiterated the commitment that the citizens will fully cooperate with the institutions in maintaining law and order.
