Seminar on ‘Road Safety for Youth’ held

ISLAMABAD-UNS: The National Transport Research Centre (NTRC), Ministry of Communications, successfully organized a significant seminar on ‘Road Safety for Youth’ on December 20, 2023, at the NTRC Auditorium in Islamabad. The event aimed to address the urgent issue of road safety, with a particular focus on the underage driving.

Students of various schools from Islamabad actively participated in the seminar, contributing to its success. The engagement and enthusiasm demonstrated by the students underscored a collective commitment to promoting responsible behavior on the roads.The seminar featured insightful presentations, including a session by Mr. Hameed Akhter, Chief NTRC, and a representative from Atlas Honda Pvt Ltd.

These sessions highlighted the critical role of road safety education for theyouth by emphasizing the underage driving, one wheeling and non- observance of using seatbelts, speed limits and wearing helmet.

NTRC extends its sincere appreciation to all participating schools for their active involvement. The success of the seminar reflects the shared
dedication to instilling road safety awareness and fostering responsible road behavior among the youth.
