All allotments of government houses made on basis of subject to vocation cancelled

ISLAMABAD -UNS: The Ministry of Housing has canceled the allotment of government houses made on the basis of vacancy in Islamabad during the last one and a half years from the date of issue.

According to sources, the State Office also allotted government houses which were not immediately available, using the new term of Subject to Vacation during the last one to one and a half years due to political pressure. For this purpose, the DG State Office was changed and a junior officer was given the charge.

The Ministry of Housing also formed an inquiry committee headed by Deputy Secretary Saeed Malik which scrutinized how many houses were allotted against the rules, meanwhile the issue of these allotments reached the Islamabad High Court.

Subject to occupation or whenever the house is vacant basis, declared allotment of houses illegal. Following the decision of the Islamabad High Court, the Ministry of Housing has canceled all the allotments made on this basis. The State Office has issued a formal office memorandum in this regard. A copy of which has been sent to all ministries, divisions, the Secretary General and the National Assembly Secretary General. But they have not got possession of it yet. According to officials, the number of these houses is about two thousand.

All the allotments of government houses made on the basis of the proposed subject to vocation were canceled. Islamabad High Court declared this allotment is illegal.The State Office has issued a new order.
