Ghazi Barotha Barrage bridge badly damaged due to heavy traffic:Criminal negligence of authorities

TARBELA GHAzI:  Ghazi Barotha Barrage  in savior danger due to passage of heavy traffic on it. Over 22 wheeler trailers loaded with marble stone and other heavy products of Gadoon Industrial Area are passing in barrage on daily basis. This is Criminal negligence of  government concerned departments,WAPDA,traffic police and local administration regarding the damaging of bridge.

According to details their is in hundreds.of heavy traffic passing with out weight scale. Due to heavy load road becoming worse day by day. Many cracks and hole on road are proof of heavy traffic. Heavy traffic and trucks were forbidden to cross over bridge but with passage of time corrupt mafia of government concerned departments,traffic police and local administration are not able to stop this practice.  Due to  which the strategic assets badly damaged. transporters succeed to heavy permission to cross over bridge with heavy load.

Now daily hundreds of trucks,trailers from  Gadoon Industrial State, Swabi crossing this bridge without legal permission.Even   Gadoon Industrial State, Swabi trailers also have  access on Swabi Motor Way interchange.But to avoid toll tax they using Brotha barrage which will damage the life of barrage very soon.

Over 1450mw project if damaged will harm national exchequer .Chairman Wapda Lt General (r) Sajjad Ghani should take action by diverting Gadoon industry heavy traffic on Swabi interchange in spite of cross Ghazi Barotha Barrage.

Ghazi Barotha Barrage bridge is very important for life and safety of hydal power project and also for water channel of the project. Sources said that Terbela Dam administration and Ghazi Barotha Barrage administration also responsible of this  illegal and unlawful activities.
