Three soldiers martyred in North Waziristan suicide attack: ISPR

RAWALPINDI-UNS: Three soldiers embraced martyrdom when a suicide bomber exploded himself in North Waziristan district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.

According to the military’s media wing, the aim of the suicide bomber was to target the checkpoint of the security forces however, the soldiers responded valiantly and the suicide attacker failed to achieve the desired objective.

According to ISPR, the suicide bomber was riding in a vehicle who blew himself up when he was stopped at the checkpost.

Naib Subidar Sahib Khan from Mianwali, Naik Mohammad Ibrahim from Dera Ismail Khan and Sepoy Jahangir Khan from Mardan were among those martyred in the suicide attack.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” read the ISPR statement.
